Cheri tells us about implicit biases, what they are, and what it means. She goes on to explain some of the implicit biases in our current health care system, how they affect patients, specifically minority patients, and what we can do to help avoid these biases.

She also explains how implicit biases or unconscious biases affect other aspects of our lives and other cultures and statuses. Some examples include how studies show obese people and people with ethnic sounding names are less likely to get hired for a job.
